Solids, Liquids, and Gases

Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.  This mean that matter is everywhere and we cannot escape it!  We are exploring what makes each state of matter different from each other in class.  StudyJams has a great video and song explaining all the differences.  Take a look:

After looking at the website, can you track the flow of a water molecule through all three states of matter in a hurricane?  

Hurricane Irene hit the east coast last week and caused major damage.  Isn't it amazing how the most important liquid we need for survival can be the same liquid that can cause major damage to our communities?
