I am so pleased with the new sixth graders. They are bright, curious, and engaged in their lessons. This year is off to a great start so far! Language Arts is my focus, and I am so happy these kids are so interested in Mountain Language and having fun with it. I am especially excited about the poetry projects. Just a song lyric shows a child how writing can be incorporated into anything, which relates from reading and thinking critically. The poetry projects have evoked inspiration from these students who are artistic, determined and serious in their quest for academic achievement.
